Bex Rimmington BlogDecember 2009Melton's Bex Rimmington has been rewarded for her superb performances this season with a place on the newly formed Great Britain Paralympic Academy programme.
Bex, who rides for Melton Olympic, has enjoyed great success on the road and track, winning a bronze at this years World para-cycling road race championships.
Bex will join the rest of the squad from 2nd January and will be based at Manchester Velodrome, before competing in a busy schedule throughout 2010 on the road, at the World and Europa Cups.
The paralympic academy will be run of the same model as the Olympic academy allowing riders to live the life of full-time professionals.
