Melton cyclist Bex Rimmington had a busy week of racing at the National Track Championships in Manchester. Starting the week with the 500m time trial, Rimmington finished ninth and the next day moved to her preferred bunch racing. The 20km scratch race was full of action with Rimmington making several strong attacks and with eight laps left, she got into a three-woman break. But the group sensed the danger and reeled them in with just two-laps left as Rimmington finished 11th.

Melton cyclist Bex Rimmington swept the board in the omnium at the East Midlands, Yorkshire and North East divisional track championships in Scunthorpe on Saturday to clinch a well deserved gold medal. The reigning champion started off in fine form, posting the fastest time for the flying 200m. Next came the 2km pursuit, where the months of hard work paid off as Bex put quarter of a lap into her nearest rival. Melton's Bex Rimmington will make her mark on the world stage after earning selection to the Para-Cycling World Championships in Bordeaux, France, from August 19-27. Bex will be piloting Melanie Easter and the pairing will be compete on both the track and road. Melton's Bex Rimmington competed in the WCRA National Time Trial Championships in Chelmsford on Sunday. On a weekend that saw the National Road Race Championships due to flooding, the elements certainly did not ease up on the course with wet and windy conditions dominating the proceedings. Bex secured her first national medal by coming second in a time of 1:04:57. She competes next for Great Britain, with stoker Melanie Easter on July 19 and 20 at the Alpina European Regional Cup in Germany, competing in both the time trial and road race. Melton cyclist Bex Rimmington has earned her first Great Britain selection alongside a Paralympic gold medallist. Bex will pilot the tandem at the Paralympic Alpina European Regional Cup in Saint Augustin, France this weekend. She will be riding with former swimmer and Paralympic gold medallist Melanie Easter in both the time trial and road race. Melton's Bex Rimmington has had a busy week of cycle racing. The first stop was a 10-mile time trial at Liphook, where Bex took her first win of the season by more than 40-seconds. The following day a 60km road race on the Portsmouth Downs saw Bex again finish first woman home.

In mid-week, Bex turned her hand to piloting visually impaired riders at the Disability Grand Prix of Wales. Melton cyclist Bex Rimmington returned to action in the UK over the weekend. On Saturday, she competed in the Women's Track Omnium at Mount Batten, finishing second in the points race, third in the scratch, seventh in the devil-take-the-hindmost, and third in the sprint final, despite being knocked off the track. The results meant an overall finish of third in the omnium.

Melton cyclist Bex Rimmington opened up the season with a top five finish in Pakistan last week. Bex finished fifth overall in the Your of Islamabad against teams from across the globe. The event was staged to raise funds for the Kaghan Memorial Trust to rebuild schools destroyed by earthquakes two years ago. Facing temperatures well over 30 degrees and tough road conditions, Bex finished fourth in stage 1 over 130km.
